DAVEY ALLEN

Raised in the western New York suburbs of Rochester, Davey Allen is an emerging artist in the local Northern music scene. Davey started his music career in the summer of 2024, performing at town bar open-mics with his acoustic guitar. Just a few short months later, he’s gigging in some of the most popular bars all around Rochester, covering today’s country hits and 2000’s rock hits from various artists while working toward releasing his first studio album and amassing tens of thousands of followers on TikTok. Davey debuted a song he plans to release as a single called “Ghost Town” back in August of 2024 LIVE on air on 106.3 WRFM, a local Rochester radio station, and if you catch a live gig, you’ll get a glimpse of more songs he plans to release in the future.

Davey started playing guitar when he was 12 years old and performing at his annual Church coffee house in high school. Music was never the priority, though, as he had pursued playing college football since age 3. He found his home at the University of Rhode Island (URI) as the punter and placeholder for 4 seasons from 2019 to 2022. But he never lost his passion for music; it was just on hold until he graduated from URI in December of 2022 with a B.S. in Marketing and took his shot at the NFL, punting for 4 NFL teams at his Pro Day in March of 2023. Fast-forward to 2024, and Davey has found his second calling with music in songwriting, drawing inspiration from some of his favorite artists like Morgan Wallen, Daughtry, and more. On TikTok, Davey has amassed tens of thousands of followers and millions of views in a couple of short months with his powerful, gritty voice on rock and grunge cover songs. Only time will tell if he will release full versions, but Davey hopes to be a mainstay in the music scene and break into the national spotlight with new releases slated for 2025 to continue chasing his new calling to music.
